The first movie in which AVM roped with Rajini. The success journey started from here and till now the knot between them is very strong. The movie was released in the year 1980 and it was Rajini’s 64th film. The interesting fact in this movie is that AVM returned to production after 12 years and the film was a hit. The same thing with Chandramukhi, for it was Sivaji Productions. AVM manager went to meet Rajini for talking about the film. Rajini immediately sat on the back of the manager’s scooter and came to AVM studios to talk about the film. The introduction song for the hero was penned well at the same time it was sung well by Malaysia Vasudevan.
